EMERGENCY, EMERGENCY!
A Salute to the Flag & Comm Workers of the Sports Car Club of America!
Crash & Rescue Movies and Communications at the SCCA Runoffs® form 1971 to through 2005. This is CHAPTER#2 of 5 for the EMERGENCY, EMERGENCY! video which is NOW AVAILABLE in five CHAPTERS, This gives you the choice of 1 or more of the 5 chapters of the original video so you can view only the sections you are interested in without having to purchase the full video.
The material in this video has been widely used by Flag & Comm Officials of SCCA for training purposes for many years. The content was shown at the worker & driver parties at the annual SCCA National Championship Runoffs® for many years and during that time it was referred to as "The SCCA Runoffs® Crash & Burn Movies".
If you have ever attended, officiated in, or raced in SCCA's National Championship Runoffs, you should view the "EMERGENCY, EMERGENCY!" video, It's very educational about the race cars and safety protocols that were in effect during the 1970's, 1980's, 1990's and early 2000's. Things like tire walls were un-banded. Many safety requirements for drivers were either not required or invented yet, things such as arm restraints, WINDOW NETS, the Hans neck restraint as well as other improvements in head and body protection for drivers!
The video includes a recreation of the race communications that be appropriate for all incidents in the video by many of the seasoned SCCA Flag & Comm workers who worked the event for many years. You will hear both an incident call from the responding corner station as well as a response from the control tower for each incident on the video. This was created UNREHEARSED by over 20 flaggers and they did a GREAT JOB with the COMMUNICATIONS Track. I highly recommend this video for your F&C worker training!
In the early years, copies were initially available on VHS tapes, in 2005 the film was placed on SD DVD and in the last few years remastered to Blu-Ray HD.
Because of NEW TECHNOLOGY I am now making this video and the rest of my Video Collections available, at a very reduced price, for short term rental, or for long-term viewing if needed! The HD Blu-Ray videos are still available at a cost of $60.00 Plus $10.00 for Priority Mail Shipping if needed.
